Two giants in their respective industries have announced an innovative partnership model, with health care and convenience meeting at the core of the deal. Retail giant Target and Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit health plans serving approximately 9.6 million members, announced that they will partner on four walk-in retail clinic stores in California.
Four dollars can get you a lot of different items at Wal-Mart. Laundry detergent, a two-box Cheerios pack, or some socks, for instance. But now you can add health screenings, vaccines, and strep throat treatment to the list, as the massive retailer has launched 12 new Walmart Care Clinics in Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina.
